Electric vehicles (EVs) could end up using a lot of electricity, but improving their efficiency to support them could significantly reduce the need for new network infrastructure, cut energy consumption, and save consumers billions of dollars, according to a new study by the non-profit utility organization EPRI and the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).
